Cafflano® Kompresso is the world’s most compact and the lightest portable authentic espresso maker that uses a hydraulic system complied with Pascal’s Principle to boost the extraction force of espresso.
Pascal’s Principle (the principle of transmission of fluid-pressure) is the principle in fluid mechanics that states a change in pressure at any point in an enclosed fluid at rest is transmitted undiminished to all points in the fluid. This hydraulic compressor of Cafflano® Kompresso is designed to retain high-pressure over 9 bar until espresso is fully extracted. In addition, the dual-mode pressure (pressing and pulling handles) maximizes the weight-force.

The Chemex Coffee Filters – Unfolded 13″ Filter Paper Half-Moon Circles is designed for specific use with ONLY the Chemex 1-3 Cup Coffee Makers and will not work with any other of the Chemex Coffee Makers.
• Cone-shape ensures uniform extraction for pure coffee flavor
• Thicker (20-30% more than the competition) specialty fiber filter design;
• Keep bitter elements, oils, and grounds in their place (and out of your cup)
• Will fit most other cone-shaped filter coffeemakers
• 100 filters per pack
Chemex filters remove even the finest sediment particles as well as the undesirable oils and fats. The formulation of the filter permits the proper infusion time by regulating the filtration rate – not to slow, not too fast. Good infusion of the coffee grounds (as in brewing and steeping tea) gives coffee a richer flavor while at the same time making possible precise fractional extraction: filtering out the undesirable components which make coffee bitter by allowing only the desirable flavor elements of the coffee bean to pass through.
The Chemex filter is folded into a cone shape, exactly as in laboratory techniques. This assures uniform extraction since the water filters through all the grounds on its way to the apex of the cone. The Chemex filter is guaranteed not to burst under the weight of the liquid during filtration, and not to break when lifting out the grounds.
Fully-bodied, richer flavor, from less coffee, and as strong as you like without bitterness.
The CHEMEX® coffeemaker was invented in 1941 by the eccentric chemist Dr. Peter Schlumbohm to brew the perfect cup of coffee. Since that time, the CHEMEX has spanned generations and the globe as an icon of American design. CHEMEX brewers are made with borosilicate glass, which is high quality and durability glass and won't crack under pressure. It's a brewer and server in one.

• Fold the CHEMEX filter in half.
• Then fold in half again, bringing the two corners together.
• Place your finger between the 3rd and 4th layer and open into a funnel.
Step 2:
• Place the funnel in the top portion of the CHEMEX coffeemaker;
• With 3 layers on the groove side.
• The groove is an air vent (and also the pouring spout) & allows air to escape from;
• The lower portion of the coffeemaker, letting the coffee filter
Step 3:
• Put coffee in the filter paper cone. Use one heaping tablespoon per cup of coffee;
• (adjust to personal taste if needed after first brew)
• Refer to brewing instructions for remaining steps.

The vessel is custom hand made by a family owned company in Bavaria/Germany and guarantees timelessness, food safety and pure taste. The collar is made of solid and food safe silicone, in accordance the FDA and EU standards and is dishwasher safe.
Brewing vessel
The porcelain-brewing vessel allows easy filling with coffee grounds and water due to its conical format. The shape facilitates manual agitation as well as cleaning, either by hand or in the dishwasher. The vessel is custom hand made by a family owned company in Bavaria/Germany and guarantees timelessness, food safety and pure taste.
Collar
The collar is made of solid and food safe silicone, in accordance the FDA and EU standards and is dishwasher safe. It holds the brewing vessel on the cup providing an airtight seal between both components. An air duct is integrated into the collar where the manual pump can be connected.
Manual Pump
The manual pump is used to evacuate the volume beneath the brewer, pulling the water through the coffee bed. Before taking cuptimo off the cup, the negative pressure has to be released. This can be done by pressing the button on the pump.
Filter paper
To be able to guarantee the necessary quality and taste, solely companies that manufacture in compliance to German quality and food safety standards have been considered. Several filters have been tested but the filter papers choosen for cuptimo stood out by its taste characteristics. cuptimos filter paper is manufactured in Switzerland, using Alp spring water in a non-circulatory process, which avoids negative taste effects on the coffee.
How it works
First, a filter paper disk is placed in the brewing vessel and rinsed with some brewing water so that it adheres to the bottom. Â The cuptimo brewer is placed on top of a cup or a carafe with a level top lid. This is necessary to enable the negative pressure to be build up for accelerated extraction.
Cuptimo is a full immersion brewer. All the brewing water can get in contact with the coffee at the same time. To improve even extraction, the slurry can be agitated with various methods through the top opening of the brewing vessel. Cuptimo allows to use finer grind sizes than other filter brewing methods, ranging from 2 to 20+ clicks on the Comandante Grinder.  To start the vacuum extraction, the hose of the manual pump is connected to the collar. Depending on the surface condition of the cup it may be necessary to apply some pressure from top so that all gaps close and the negative pressure can be established. Once all the coffee is in the cup, the vacuum can be released by pushing the button on the manual pump for taking off the brewer
Properties and advantages
Full flavor because of zero-bypass vacuum extraction: As all brewing water is pulled through the full height of the coffee bed, an even, efficient extraction is achieved and the occurrence of channeling is minimized. Reduced bitterness and astringency through the reduced brew time and because all water has to pass through the full height of the coffee bed, effectively filtering out the big coffee compounds causing astringency.
Grind size according to taste preference: Most brewing methods require a specific grind size to work properly. Cuptimo offers the possibility to choose grind size of a very wide range (2 to 20+ clicks on the Comandante Grinder). Finer grinds make it easier to extract light roasts as well as producing an even extraction as the particle size variation is reduced. Full immersion brewing. Achieves exceptional high extraction yields (TDS:1.8+, EY28+). In general sweeter, more balanced cups with reduced bitterness and astringency.

Conceived to allow the use of the most common paper filters, E&B carafe such as Chemex and Kinto. Flower style has been designed to facilitate the introduction and extraction of paper filter in the carafe. It poetically allows to see all the process of brewing. The characteristic long petal serves as a grip while other ones are designed to support paper. Unlike most filter media, Flower does not change the beverage temperature.
A new line of products all designed and produced in Italy, made specifically for manual brewing methods. A division of IMS, the company responsible for the wildly popular Baristapro series of precision portafilters, E&B Lab takes the same spirit of ingenuity and craftsmanship to a wider spectrum of brewing equipment.

It is always necessary to check the dimension of our Moka filter to make sure that fits your Moka pot.
1 cup: external diameter 46mm – internal diameter 39 mm
2 cups: external diameter 48,5 mm – internal diameter 42 mm
3 cups: external diameter 57 mm – internal diameter 49.2 mm
6 cups: external diameter 66.25 mm – internal diameter 55 mm
The idea of the Competition Moka filter has been created to enhance the coffee extraction of the Moka pot.
Developing a filter with more smaller holes (0.2mm diameter) then the fewer and larger traditional ones (0,8mm diameter) permits a perfect extraction by avoiding high pressured water that could damage the coffee cake
A cleaner beverage is obtained thanks to the reduction to the fine particles in the cup, in this way the acidity is emphasised and the bitterness reduced.
