In the Box
• 9 Barista espresso machine
• 9 Barista tamper
• Heat transfer plate (for use on most gas cookers, induction plate required for use on induction stoves)
• Getting started instructions
• Spare safety ring and boiler o-ring
• 9 Barista stickers
Other materials used are;
• Silicone rubber: All seals, the thermal break and basket cap
• PTFE: the valve pin
• PEI: the group insulator.
• Stainless steel: basket and heat exchanger coil
• There is no aluminium in the machine.
9Barista is beautifully simple. It has no electronics and only one moving part. The machine produces professional-quality espresso by using a new, patented technology that sets it apart from all other espresso machines.
Inherent reliability
Constructed from solid brass, and with no electronics or moving parts (apart from a spring) 9Barista is engineered to last a lifetime.
Cost & speed
9Barista uses fresh ground coffee, not pods. If you add up the cost, 9Barista will pay for itself within about a year.
9Barista is fast – it only takes 3-6 minutes to make an espresso from cold.
Small & versatile
Small, compact and perfectly formed, 9Barista works on any cooker, from electric hobs including induction (additional induction plate required), to gas or Aga and even on a camping stove !
Diameter: 110mm
Composition: Diffusion bonded aluminium and stainless steel
Our induction stove adaptor plate for the 9Barista. We recommend starting on a medium heat on a small induction zone and increasing until the desired brew times are achieved.
This plate has been specifically designed to work on induction stoves, and won’t work on gas stoves. Please see the Heat transfer plate for use on most gas stoves.
WARNING: Consult your induction stove manual before use. Your induction number settings will relate to power in Watts. Use the induction plate at the setting closest to 600 Watts. Use above 1000 Watts could result in damage to the plate and your stove.
If 9Barista is left on the cooker for a long time (hours), and has got very hot, a few components will need replacing.
