The DISK Coffee Filter is a reusable filter designed to be used with the AeroPress® Coffee Maker. This allows more oils and a fuller bodied cup of coffee when used with the AeroPress®. Eliminates the need for paper filters, which is especially convenient when traveling.

The Disk is available in two different options.

Fine:
Very sweet clean cup of coffee with very little fines to none at all. It is thinner (1/3 of the Standard) and should be handled with care as bending/damage is more likely.

Standard:
Fuller body cup of coffee with a bit more fines. Thicker and should last many years of heavy use and is very hard to bend/damage.

Fine XL:
Fits the newer Aeropress® XL Coffee Maker.

The easy-to-read dial on the Rhino Coffee Gear Milk Thermometer allows for quick and accurate measure of textured milk and other beverages. The specially designed stainless steel clip allow the thermometer to sit perfectly in any milk pitcher. Designed with positive lock, quick-release action, the thermometer stem can be adjusted to the desired height. When the clip is removed, the thermometer can also be used for general purpose cooking needs. Height of thermometer is 5″ (13cm).

Effective temperature range is 0 to 220F or -18 to 104C.
How to use:
Insert the stem of the thermometer through both holes in the clip. Pressing the clip together will allow for easier positioning along the thermometer stem. Push the clip down onto the side of the pitcher and position it until the stem tip is sitting just above the bottom of the pitcher.

Temperature guide:
Steamed Milk : 122-149F/50-65C
Espresso : 185-194F/85-90C
Black Tea : 212F/100C
Green Tea : 160-180F/70-80C

Important: Always position the Rhino Coffee Gear Milk Thermometer on the pitcher prior to filling it to ensure you have it seated at the correct height.

Chemex filters remove even the finest sediment particles as well as the undesirable oils and fats. The formulation of the filter permits the proper infusion time by regulating the filtration rate – not to slow, not too fast. Good infusion of the coffee grounds (as in brewing and steeping tea) gives coffee a richer flavor while at the same time making possible precise fractional extraction: filtering out the undesirable components which make coffee bitter by allowing only the desirable flavor elements of the coffee bean to pass through.

The Chemex filter is folded into a cone shape, exactly as in laboratory techniques. This assures uniform extraction since the water filters through all the grounds on its way to the apex of the cone. The Chemex filter is guaranteed not to burst under the weight of the liquid during filtration, and not to break when lifting out the grounds.
