COMANDANTE® was born out of necessity and a vision for performance and precision. In 2005 and long before COMANDANTE®, Bernd Braune and his family founded their speciality coffee roastery Supremo just outside Munich, Germany. Comandante or commandant is a title often given to the officer in charge of a military (or other uniformed service) training establishment or academy. COMANDANTE® develops and manufactures high performance coffee grinders, burrs, and tools for professionals and enthusiasts. The mission is to provide solutions to help coffee lovers consistently get the best out of their favourite coffees, decade after decade. ROEST is a Norwegian start-up established in 2014, but story started in 2013 when founder Tim Wendelboe and Morten Wennergaard two significant figures in the coffee scene in Norway. They challenged to create a better sample roaster for the coffee industry. Since 2018 Roest has become a fast-growing, open-minded company with international team dedicated to improving coffee.
