The La Marzocco H1006 O-Ring resists the corrosive effects of the items used for processing inside the equipment. The Real O-Ring offer reliability and performance. Original La Marzocco Viton O-ring suitable for: GB5 X & S, FB80, GS3, KB90, Linea Classic S, FB70, Linea PB, Linea Micra, Modbar, & Strada MP.
An O-ring is the most common gasket used to provide a seal between two components. In our machines they are used in many applications, with different dimensions and compounds. Some of the most used materials are NBR, EPDM, FKM (Viton), silicone, or even PTFE and dual-compounds materials, which differ for their hardness (measured and indicated with the Shore A hardness scale) and for their thermal and wear resistance. Moreover, most of the O-rings which are used in our machines are in contact with steam or drinking water, and for this reason they must comply to strict international regulations that guarantee consumer safety. Remember that same colour does not always indicate same material!
Failure mode
O-rings get brittle with age and worn with use (on moving components). Thanks to the softness of its compound, an O-ring will accommodate most of the imperfection in the sealing surfaces, however, it won’t be able to seal in presence of deep scratches.
