Features

The Subminimal Flick Retractable WDT Tool is a compact espresso-distribution tool designed to break up clumps and distribute coffee grounds evenly before tamping. Its retractable-needle mechanism keeps the needles safely stored when not in use: one click releases them, and a quick flick of the wrist retracts them back into the tool.

  • Retractable Needle Mechanism

The needles remain protected inside the body during storage and extend only when required, reducing the risk of accidental bending, snagging, or exposed sharp points.

  • More Even Espresso Distribution

The fine needles help loosen clumps and distribute grounds throughout the portafilter basket, supporting more uniform puck density and reducing the risk of channeling.

  • Flexible Storage Options

The included stand keeps the tool upright on the counter, while the wall mount provides an alternative storage option close to the espresso machine.

  • Compact Design with Replaceable Needles

The Flick measures 110 × 18 × 18 mm, weighs 48 g, and uses six 0.5 mm-thick needles measuring 42 mm long. The package includes the WDT tool, stand, wall mount, six replacement needles, and an Allen key.
