How do I use a Coffeetool?

Note: Some steps require a commercial or semi-commercial backflushable espresso machine. If unsure, check with your machine manufacturer. If your machine is not backflushable, use step 3 only.

1. Use the built-in detergent spoon to add espresso machine cleaner into a blind filter basket in your portafilter.
2. Attach the portafilter and begin backflushing according to your detergent instructions.
3. While flushing, run water through the group and use the Coffeetool to scrub the shower screen and surrounding areas. The running water helps remove coffee residue, oils, and odors while keeping your hands protected.
4. Backflush again without detergent and repeat step 3.
5. Use the steam wand vent poker to clear blocked steam holes caused by milk residue or buildup.
6. Use the Coffeetool throughout the day to maintain cleanliness and ensure consistent coffee quality.
