Backflushing Procedure (EVO® Espresso Machine Cleaner)

1. Remove the coffee filter from the group handle and replace it with a blind filter.
2. Add 1 level scoop of EVO® cleaner into the group handle.

·         If the machine is cleaned less frequently, use 2 level scoops.

3. Insert the group handle into the machine as if brewing espresso.
4. Start the cycle and allow it to run for 10 seconds.
5. Stop the cycle and let it sit for 10 seconds.
6. Repeat the start/stop cycle 4 more times:

·         Run for 10 seconds, then stop for 10 seconds.

7. Remove the group handle and rinse thoroughly under water from the group head.
8. Turn off the machine.
9. Reinsert the group handle with the blind filter.
10. Start and stop the cycle 10 times:

·         Run for 5 seconds, then stop for 2 seconds to ensure thorough rinsing.

11. Remove the blind filter and insert the regular filter.
12. Brew and discard one espresso shot to re-season the machine.

Procedure: Cleaning Filters and Group Handles

1. Soak group handles and filters in 500 ml of hot water with 2 level scoops of EVO® Espresso Machine Cleaner for 10 minutes.
2. Rinse thoroughly under running hot water.
