The polygonal body is painstakingly molded into a stable single piece using cutting edge techniques. Trailmaster Dune is equipped with a state-of-the art Nitro Blade® burr for familiar world class grind performance in this extraordinary new body.

Selecting the best material for an outdoor grinder body is mission critical. After comprehensive research in our laboratories and after conducting extensive field tests, our engineers selected a special reinforced techno-polymer as the material of choice for the new X-Series outdoor products — QTP (Quartz Tech Polymer).

QTP (Quartz Tech Polymer) is a high-performance techno-polymer with a substantial amount of quartz reinforcement particles, interwoven into an elastic and strong long-chain polymer matrix. It feels like ceramic and performs like a technical super composite.

The QTP (Quartz Tech Polymer) composite was originally developed for mechanical and equipment engineering. It’s also used in the automotive industry for bearing and gearbox components. QTP (Quartz Tech Polymer) is safe in contact with food and water, and is a trademark of Comandante®.

We engineered the Comandante X25 Trailmaster® grinder for our weekend adventures in the Bavarian Alps, with the same ‘no compromises’ attitude that serious outdoor enthusiasts approach their equipment choices. We made it lightweight, super robust and functional, with world class grind performance.

Forest is equipped with our pioneering Comandante Tigershark® burr, optimised for the great outdoors. The Double Shark Tips create a double-cut action to efficiently deal not only with dense, light roasted specialty coffee, but also other semi-elastic materials with reduced brittleness, such as grains used for porridge or flat breads. The coating-free edge and blade structure, coupled with this steel’s extraordinary toughness and extremely high edge retention capabilities, will ensure a lifetime of performance.
