L100 Ultra
The L100 Ultra has everything you need to get started roasting, including a tray, hopper, sample tray, and 1.5m ventilation hose. Customers often add the 200 g kit with a larger tray and hopper extension, our Pelicase for easy transport, and a 90-degree elbow if you prefer it over the ventilation hose.

First crack detection

ROEST is the world’s first sample roaster with automatic First Crack Detection—AI technology that identifies and registers first crack by sound. 

Marking first crack automatically enables the roaster to control development time and tailor the length of each roast to the bean. This ensures each coffee can reach its full flavor potential with minimal oversight.

Reversible drum for counterflow mode

With the L100 Ultra, you can choose the direction of rotation for the drum. Standard mode enables you to use similar profiles and replicate the roast style of the classic S100/L100+ models.

In Counterflow mode, the drum rotates in the opposite direction, bringing the bean pile directly into the path of the airflow. In this mode, the L100 Ultra operates like a miniature version of our acclaimed P3000 production roaster.
